As the first in-fill Passive House spec. home built in the Northwest, Dwell’s commitment and confidence shows that the region is ready to embrace the highest energy standard in the worldwide home building industry today. It’s no surprise Dwell Development wants to focus on The Passive House concept. First and foremost, because these homes deliver up to 90% energy savings compared to code built homes.
Dwell is proud to be working together with PH consultants brute force collaborative and third party verifier Evergreen Certified to assure all the details are covered in order to meet such a high standard. The goal is to get these to bring the Seattle area homes to Passive House Institute US (PHIUS) standards. Passive House homes perform so well, we are told that they can be heated practically with the body heat of the residents, or the heat of a common hand held blow dryer.
